Maserati - Passages

Fans of Georgia psyche-rockers Maserati may be the only ones who want to pony up the pennies for this latest release. That’s not because Passages is bad album, but because this rarities collection is not even truly all that rare. Collected here are tracks from the band’s split EP with Zombi, as well as some remixes and one new number. The remixes aren’t particularly interesting, taking songs built on interesting, dynamic instrumental passages and removing all the dynamics (and, hence, the interest). The rest are in line with Maserati’s usual post-rock offerings, and fans will enjoy. Fans, however, might already have the good songs from Passages already in their collections.
